Restaurant websites
Menus, opening hours, reservations and local SEO for restaurants and cafés.
- What must a restaurant website include?Menu, opening hours, address with a map, phone number, reservation link and photos of the food and the space. Everything else is bonus.
- Does Blanca's Builder have restaurant templates?Yes. Pick 'Restaurant' as project type and the wizard generates menu pages, a reservation page, opening hours and a location section.
- How do I publish my menu with prices?Add menu items in Menu, Items with name, description, price and category. The menu page renders automatically and updates everywhere it appears.
- Should I upload my menu as a PDF or HTML?HTML. PDFs are bad for mobile and invisible to search engines. Blanca's Builder renders the HTML menu beautifully and Google indexes every item.
- Can my menu have multiple languages?Yes. Each menu item has fields per language. The right version shows based on the visitor's URL and language switcher.
- How do I show opening hours that always look right?Add hours in Settings, Business. They render automatically with timezone awareness and 'Open now' / 'Closed' badges.
- Can I add holiday or special hours?Yes. Settings, Business, Exceptions lets you override hours for any date. Past exceptions are auto-cleaned.
- How do I rank for 'restaurant near me'?Claim your Google Business Profile, add LocalBusiness JSON-LD (automatic), get listed in local directories, and collect Google reviews. The launch checklist guides each step.
- Does the platform include a reservation system?Yes. The booking module covers tables, party size, time slots, cancellations and reminders. SMS and email confirmations are included.
- Can I integrate with TheFork, OpenTable or SuperEats?Yes. Embed their widgets, or use their APIs for full white-label integration. Templates exist for each.
- How important are food photos?Critical. Pages with 6+ high-quality photos convert 2-3x better. Use real photos of your dishes — generic stock photography hurts trust.
- Are uploaded photos automatically optimised?Yes. The platform converts to AVIF/WebP, generates responsive sizes and lazy-loads images. No manual optimisation required.
- How do I add delivery or takeaway ordering?Use the e-commerce module with a 'Pickup' or 'Delivery' shipping type, or embed a partner like Uber Eats or Wolt. Both options are documented.
- Can I display Google or Tripadvisor reviews?Yes. Embed via official APIs (Google Places, Tripadvisor Content). Cached server-side so review badges do not slow the page.
- Can I publish private dining or event packages?Yes. Use the Events page type with capacity, pricing and a booking form. Each event becomes a separate URL for SEO.
- How do I show allergen information? Each menu item has an allergens field with the standard 14 EU allergens. Icons render automatically next to each dish.
- Can I tag dishes as vegan, vegetarian or gluten-free?Yes. Tag any item; visitors can filter the menu by tag. Tags also appear in the dish JSON-LD for AI search engines.
- Should I add a chef or team page?Yes if the team is part of your story. Authored content with photos increases trust and unlocks Person and AboutPage structured data.
- I have several restaurants. How do I structure the site? One page per location under /locations/<slug>, plus a master locations list. Each page has its own LocalBusiness JSON-LD and Google profile link.
- How long does it take to launch a restaurant site? One day for a simple site, one week for a multi-location chain with menu, reservations and content. The Coach guides each step.
